(1) Our Idea from November 3: QUALCOMM INC earnings tend to move the stock 8.1% higher, just 1 month later
🚀 Qualcomm shares are now up +27.5% since our initial signal
As expected, Qualcomm had a strong move after the quarterly earnings announcement. Originally, we wrote “Qualcomm Inc is expected to announce quarterly earnings on November 3. After the previous 10 quarterly earnings announcements, the stock returned +8.1% one month after the announcement date. With 80% of those events showing positive returns.” Its chip business generated $7.7bn in revenue, up +56% YoY on demand for new phones. Qualcomm also powers the Oculus headset sold by Facebook.
(2) Our Idea from November 2: MARVELL TECHNOLOGY INC poised to rally +17% within 3 months
🚀 Marvell shares are up +27.3% since our initial signal
Marvell Tech develops and produces semiconductors and related tech items. Net revenue surged +61% YoY to $1.2bn. Its data center and automotive divisions more than doubled. Global supply chain bottlenecks have been less impactful, a problem many of Marvell’s competitors were facing. Analysts, covering the stock, are still expected another +9.0% based on current share prices. Some analysts expect the electric car and connected car technology to drive up earnings (and share prices) higher in 2022.
(3) Our Idea from November 4: APPLE INC sets up for 7.7% rally in 2 months
🚀 Apple shares are up +19.6% since our initial signal
Apple shares have been the big surprise recently. While not a surprise for us, Apple has quietly become the performance leader among the big FANG stocks since our signal on November 4. Apple’s service segment has robust gross-profit margins, its growing product sales feed its ecosystem but the stock looks a bit expensive based on price-to-cash flow and price-to-earnings metrics. The shares are also trading above analysts’ target levels of its stock price and they see -5% downside.
